How does GoOrtho work?

We make it simple. After you enter your information on our website, you will receive a text message to complete your health assessment. Once a GoOrtho physician reviews your health assessment, and your insurance is verified or a private pay option is selected, you will schedule your telehealth appointment (within 24 hours). At your telehealth visit, you’ll meet your physician and your Orthopedic Clinical Professional (OCP) and they’ll walk you through your individualized treatment plan. To support you along the way, you’ll meet with your OCP weekly and your physician monthly. Together they will track your progress and make adjustments to your treatment plan if necessary.

What types of musculoskeletal conditions do you treat?

GoOrtho treats all appropriate orthopedic conditions with at-home conservative treatments. GoOrtho will refer you to local professionals if physical examination, imaging or invasive treatment is suspected to provide better outcomes.

What is an Orthopedic Clinical Professional (OCP)?
An Orthopedic Clinical Professional is a licensed physical therapist or physical therapy assistant and will be your coach throughout your time with GoOrtho. You will meet with your OCP weekly to make sure you’re on a successful path. Often, physical therapy is the most effective way to treat orthopedic conditions and realize long-term benefits.
Will I see the same doctor every time?

You will see the same doctor and OCP for each appointment. If ever there is a change in your provider, we will notify you immediately. Or if you prefer to see a different provider, you can let us know at any time.

Do you accept my insurance? How do I pay?

GoOrtho accepts Medicaid, Medicare and most private insurances. During the GO Assessment, you will upload your insurance information so we can verify it and let you know your out-of-pocket costs up front. If you don’t have insurance, or if your out-of-pocket costs are too high, we have a subscription option to make sure we can get everyone on the path to a life with less pain.

Who are the doctors?

Our doctors are physicians, surgeons, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants who specialize in orthopedics and musculoskeletal conditions.

Do I need to have a local orthopedic surgeon as well?

No. If at any point it is determined you would benefit from an in-person visit, we have a network of orthopedic surgeons and professionals we can refer you to.

Do I need a referral from a primary care physician to use GoOrtho?

We do not require any referrals to use our services. Sign up today to get started!

Can you help me avoid surgery?

Our goal is not necessarily to help you avoid surgery, but rather to explore proven options when surgery is not required. Not everyone should have surgery for every musculoskeletal problem. GoOrtho provides a non-operative solution for these patients. However, it’s inevitable that some patients need surgery. GoOrtho can help determine if that’s you and if so, we can help make sure you’re in the best shape both before and after surgery to facilitate better long-term outcomes. And yes, many times surgery can be avoided, or at least significantly delayed, by having a consistent health plan to keep your pain at ease.

Will my data stay private?

Absolutely! GoOrtho is HIPAA compliant, and we take our patients’ privacy very seriously.

Do I get to keep the exercise materials? (plans, routines, etc.)

GoOrtho supplies all exercise materials for the total time you are a patient at our digital clinic. All exercises are delivered through a secure and private platform so they cannot be transferred externally or saved if you decide not to continue with GoOrtho’s services.
